John Stanwick is a Senior Research Officer at the National Centre for Vocational Education (NCVER) in Australia. He holds a PhD in the area of public management.  John has many years’ experience in social science research at the NCVER and also the former Australasian Centre for Policing Research. For the past 20 years, John has been working in the area of Vocational Education and Training Research. His research interests include apprenticeships and traineeships, micro-credentials, the financing of vocational education and training, youth transitions, disengaged youth, structural change in industry and its relevance to vocational education and training, and the impact of social science research. Prior to his career in Social Science research John worked for many years in the areas of accounting and internal auditing for the federal government in Australia.
