Dr. Maiga Chang is Associate Dean, Research & Innovation, and Full Professor at Faculty of Science and Technology, Athabasca University, Canada. Dr. Chang is IEEE Senior Member and has been appointed as an IEEE Computer Society Distinguished Visitor for 2023 to 2025. He is also received Distinguished Researcher Award from Asia Pacific Society on Computers in Education (APSCE) in 2022.

Dr. Chang is Vice President (2022~) of International Association of Smart Learning Environments (IASLE) and editors-in-chief (2019~) of Journal of Educational Technology & Society (Open Access SSCI in Quartile Q1 with rank 14 among 756 journals in ESCI/SSCI/SCI in Education & Educational Research category by Journal Impact Factor 6.0), editor-in-chief (2014~) of International Journal of Distance Education Technologies (Open Access ESCI in Quartile Q1 among 756 journals in ESCI/SSCI/SCI in Education & Educational Research category by Journal Citation Indicator 1.24, SCOPUS, EI), and editor-in-chief (2020~) of Bulletin of Technical Committee on Learning Technology (Open Access ESCI).

Dr. Chang is helping as a Steering Committee member (2020~) for International Conference on Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS) and has been conference chair (2024~) and general program chair (2017~2023) for IEEE International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies (ICALT) which was ranked as the second (2nd) by saliency in Educational Technology area, just follows CSCL (1st) in Microsoft Academic for the time 2000 to 2020.

Dr. Chang has given more than 165 talks and lectures in different events; He also has (co-)authored more than 263 book chapters, journal and international conference papers. He is an IEEE member since 1996 and also a member of ACM (2001-2017), AAAI (since 2001-2017), INNS (2004-2018), and Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society.

His current research mainly focus on artificial intelligence; natural language processing; learning behaviour analysis; learning analytics and academic analytics; game-based learning, training and assessment; intelligent agent technology; educational data mining; computational intelligence; health informatics and healthcare technology, etc.

Lancelot A. Gooden received the B.S. degree in Industrial Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science from Saint Augustine’s University in 2001, the M.Ed. degree in Mathematics from Campbell University in 2008, and the Ed.D. degree in Adult and Community College Education from North Carolina State University in 2021. From 2001 to 2014, he served in mathematics and STEM teaching roles in K–12 and higher education, including Saint Augustine’s University and Johnston County Schools. In 2014, he was promoted to Department Chair for Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Social Sciences, and Engineering Programs at Johnston Community College, where he expanded STEM transfer pathways, launched a STEM scholarship program, and oversaw a multi-million dollar capital project for an engineering facility. In 2021, he became the Dean of the Building, Engineering, and Skilled Trades division at Durham Technical Community College, leading academic restructuring and the expansion of workforce-aligned programs. From 2022 to 2025, he served as Provost of the Osceola and Poinciana campuses at Valencia College, providing executive leadership for more than 18,000 students, managing a multi-million dollar operating budget, securing a $3 million Title V grant for adult learners, and directing institution-wide strategies in enrollment management, state-wide reform, and community engagement. In 2025, he joined the Darden College of Education & Professional Studies at Old Dominion University as a faculty member in the Ph.D. program. Program. Program in Community College Leadership. His research interests include transfer student success, inclusive leadership in higher education, STEM education pathways, and community engagement strategy. He serves on multiple boards, including the editorial board of New Directions for Community Colleges, and has been recognized as a Distinguished Leader in Central Florida, a testament to his significant contributions to the local education community.

Principal Ching-Nan Lin recently retired from a vocational high school. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Education from National Taiwan Normal University and has devoted more than forty years to technical and vocational education, and was awarded the 2024 National Excellent Teacher Award of the Ministry of Education. He has served at New Taipei Municipal New Taipei Industrial Vocational High School (formerly Hai-Shan Industrial Vocational High School), San-Chong Commercial and Industrial Vocational High School, and Jui-Fang Industrial Vocational High School. Starting his career as a Vocational High School Teacher, then as an Industry Internship Instructor, he gradually advanced through positions such as Section Chief and Director. With extensive experience in technical and vocational education, Principal Lin has actively participated in major national education policies, including the 12-Year Basic Education Reform, the 2019 Curriculum Guidelines, the High School Quality Improvement Program, and the policy of Exam-free Admission in Senior High Schools. He has also dedicated himself to school administration and enhancing campus aesthetics.
